Today, the Union and the Company had a conference call to discuss the upcoming Level brand change.
We are very pleased to announce that the Company will be offering a preference to the US based crews to work longer W style trips to the new destinations. You will be able to change your preference every 6 months.
The Company did express that there may be a language barrier on flights from ORY to the new French speaking destinations but will be considering offering French lessons to US based cabin crew who does not speak French.
Keep in mind, your contract remains intact and you are still working directly for OpenSkies but they will be doing business as Level, which is a brand.
We inquired about the possibility of growing the US cabin crew base. The Company said there were no plans to hire for the US base at this time but it may be a possibility in the future.
There was a follow up discussion the ORY hotel issue with the Company and they said the issue had been resolved, so if you are still having issues please let me know.
We are still seeking participation on the Hotel Committee, which would be working with the Company to select hotels in the new destinations, as well as a member to fill the shop steward position.
