Sisters and Brothers,
Your IAM representatives met with the Company on November 6, 2018 to negotiate the effects of the closure of the OpenSkies U.S. base. We discussed severance pay, medical and dental insurance continuation along with continuation of any available pass travel benefits. In addition we discussed recall rights in the case that OpenSkies were to reopen a U.S. base. Unfortunately, due to the transition from operating as British Airways to Level, the Company is still researching what continuation of healthcare and travel benefits that they could provide. However, the Company agreed that the entire group even those on leave will receive the severance package and anyone legally eligible to work in France does have the option to transfer to the French base.
We are set to meet again in early December and will keep you advised of any additional updates.
In Solidarity,
Sara Gonzales
