Sisters and Brothers:
The ballots you cast in the Ratification Vote yesterday, February 7, 2019, have been tallied. You, the membership at IAD, have voted to accept the tentative agreement. With this accomplished, your new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) becomes effective today, February 8, 2019. All provisions, including wage increases, premiums, improvements and enhancements will be retroactive to September 1, 2018. Your Stewards and I will be working with the Company to ensure this process occurs as soon as possible. We are currently preparing the CBA with all changes in a contract format, which will be proof-read and then sent to the Company for their review, signatures and printing. While it may be several weeks for the printed Contracts to be completed and distributed to you, your Stewards will have an electronic copy of the CBA and the capability to represent the membership.
I can’t express enough the gratitude I want to extend to J.D, Marshal, Tom, Ez, and Alex, your Negotiating Committee, for their professionalism, hard work and dedication they showed on your behalf during these negotiations. Most of all I want to thank you, the membership, for the support and respect you gave your Negotiating Committee, and me, through this process.
