Sisters and Brothers:
Your Negotiating Committee, J.D. Davis, Marshal Evans, Tom Goba, Ezekiel Coates, Alexander Osei and I, met with the Company in direct negotiations the week of November 26, 2018 at IAD. Present for the Company were Mark Reiss – Legal; Deidra Adams – H.R. Regional Manager; Robert Grant – Area Director and Wesley Lowery – IAD Duty Manager.
There has been significant progress made with numerous tentative agreements on non-economic issues and language. Additionally, this week, your Committee presented the Company with a comprehensive economic package with proposals on Wages and other benefits such as Retirement, Holidays and Bereavement but have not been able to secure a commitment from the Company which adequately addresses these concerns. While there has been slight movement from the Company in a positive direction on our economic proposals, which shows our talks have not fallen on totally deaf ears, the Company’s last counter proposal on these key issues falls short of the expectations you, the membership, have said want and rightfully deserve.
Rest assured, your Committee will continue a dialogue with the Company on the open items. We are optimistic the Company will re-evaluate their position, realize the importance of the few open items and show their appreciation for the professional, courteous, hard work you perform day in and day out with an agreement which rewards you, the backbone, drive and face that has put Signature Flight Support in a class of their own as a Global Fixed Base Operator.
We will keep you updated as we progress through this process. I want to thank your Committee for the hard work, dedication and professionalism they have displayed on your behalf. Most of all, I want to thank YOU for the solidarity and support you give this Committee.
