The results of the ratification vote taken on Thursday, January 24, 2019 have been finalized. You, the membership, have voted to accept the Tentative Agreement reached through more than 12 months of negotiations. You now have your first Collective Bargaining Agreement at BWI. After meetings that were held on Wednesday, January 24, 2019, your questions and, more importantly, your concerns were heard loud and clear and answered by your negotiating committee. At the end of the day, all can agree that while this agreement falls short in several areas, it serves as an acceptable starting point for your first agreement.
We are currently are in the process of preparing the agreement for printing. Once signed and printed, we will get your Collective Bargaining Agreement out to you. Once again, I want to thank Aaron Thompson, your Steward and Negotiating Committee member for all of the hard work which he has done on your behalf. More importantly, I thank you, the membership for the support and confidence you showed this Committee through this process.
