SWISSPORT BWI OFFERS “LAST, BEST, FINAL OFFER”

As you are aware, negotiations for your first collective bargaining agreement (your contract) have been ongoing since January of this year. This agreement sets provisions for future wage increases, shift premiums, premium position pay, job descriptions and other terms.  While we made improvements to your working conditions through our many tentative agreements, there were several open items that remained unsettled.  The Company has now presented the Union with their “last, best and final” offer that includes the tentative agreements and that closes the remaining open issues. This is the proposal we will bring to you to vote on.

The process for a ratification vote, as set forth in the District 142 By-Laws, Article XIII, is currently in progress. This process includes reviewing the last offer and then making sufficient copies of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) as proposed. These copies will be sent to your Stewards for disbursement to you for your review. You will have the opportunity to review the proposed CBA for a minimum of five (5) days. Ratification meeting dates will be established where your Negotiating Committee will meet with you to answer any questions you may have on the proposal prior to a ratification vote. When the dates for the Ratification Meetings and Vote are established and confirmed, notification will be posted.
