Negotiations continued July 27, 2017 at IAM Headquarters in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Representing the Company was Director of Fuel Farms George Mencarelli and Blake Martin, Sr. Counsel – Director Labor Relations. Representing the membership was IAM Grand Lodge Representative John Werkmeister and General Chair Randy Griffith.
We are pleased to announce that the parties were able to resolve the outstanding issues and have reached a Tentative Agreement.
In the next week or so copies of the Tentative Agreement will be available for all employees. You will have to pick one up from Jessica in the Swissport offices and you must sign that you received your copy.
Informational meetings to discuss the agreement and a ratification vote will be scheduled shortly. Remember only union members will be allowed to vote. However, any employee that fills out a union application (even the day of the ratification vote) will be allowed to vote. Please stay tuned for a date and time for these events.
