Negotiations were held July 20-22, 2016 at your Sky Harbor Local Lodge 2559. Good progress was made during this round of negotiations and tentative agreements were reached in the following areas:
Recognition, Union Security, Non-Discrimination, Notification of Personnel Actions, Layoff and Recall, Security, Union Officials, and Safety, Health and Uniforms.
Your Negotiators were able to secure language that prevents the company from outsourcing your jobs, securing your access to union officials and shop stewards and establishing recall rights in the event there is a reduction in force. Your committee was also successful in negotiating improvements to safety and health including a safety bonus program and an annual safety boot allowance.
As we approach economic issues, your continued support is critical to securing the contract you deserve.
The next round of negotiations will be August 3 and 4, and September 20 thru the 22, 2016.
