Your TWU-IAM Association Negotiation Committee representing M&R, MLS, MTS and MCT is pleased with the May 1st 2024 announcement by the TWU-IAM Association leadership serving notice to the company of the TWU-IAM Association’s intent to commence ‘early opening’ negotiations in accordance with Article 3 of the respective Collective Bargaining Agreements and Section 6, Title 1 of the Railway Labor Act (45 U.S.C. § 156), as amended.
The TWU-IAM Association Negotiation Committee representing M&R, MLS, MTS and MCT met again this week of April 29th in PHX. The Committee has been meeting for months, with plans to continue to meet, to work on contract improvements, both language and clarifications, for months in preparation of this notice.
Your Negotiation Committee is fully prepared to engage the company at the bargaining table at the earliest opportunity, and with your continued support we are confident that we can bring back industry leading M&R, MLS, MTS and MCT agreements.
