Be sure you are staying on top of the current legislative issues. New right-to-work legislation is being introduced that will affect us. Please read up on the new National Right-to-Work Bill introduced to Congress. Reps Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) and Steve King (R-Iowa), sponsored legislation that would amend the National Labor Relations Act, the main federal law covering private-sector unions, and the Railway Labor Act, an earlier law that covers transportation industry unions. This could make negotiating benefits and work rules more challenging.
