US Airways Mechanic & Related OCC Relocation Agreement Reached

Over the last several months the Union has held many negotiation and discussion sessions with the Company concerning a relocation agreement for our Members affected by the merger related relocation of work associated with the OCC (Operations Control Center) in PIT to the IOC (Integrated Control Center) in DFW.  These discussions were driven by the job protection language included in our recently ratified Collective Bargaining agreement.
This relocation of work effects Maintenance Control Technicians in PIT and certain planning functions in PIT and PHX associated with the OCC.  The new IOC is slated to complete construction in August of 2015.  We are acutely aware of the concerns our members have regarding the timely resolution of a relocation agreement to enable you to make an informed decision on your future in regard to these life changing events.  With that in mind we took the time necessary to make sure the needs of our members were met.
Exact details of the agreement will be posted on the District Lodge website www.iamdl142.org.  You will have ample time to review the packages and have all questions answered before you will be asked to make any decision.  This agreement exceeds the current CBA requirements for relocation of work as described in Article 8.
We would like to thank the Membership for their patience, resolve and support during the time it took to reach this agreement.
