The 2023 District 142 Flight Safety Conference was held May 29 – June 2, 2023, at the IAM’s William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, MD.
This year’s conference was another great success. Participants engaged in discussions and demonstrations on such subjects as Human Factors, PPE, Aviation Law, EAP, and more. As in previous years, an aircraft accident was staged on the grounds of W3 and attendees got out of the classroom to spend the day examining the wreckage and getting a feel for what an NTSB investigation is all about.
Presenters/lecturers this year included W3 Director Mary McHugh, DL 142 Flight Safety Director John Hall, DL 142 General Chair John Bidoglio, DL 142 EAP Director Paul Shultz, and aviation accident investigation experts Bill Johnson, Candra Schatz, Greg Feith, John Goglia, Maggie Ma, and Loretta Alkalay.
