Dear Sisters and Brothers:
By now you will have seen that Alaska Airlines has issued another new BAND-AID fix to address its many operational challenges. Once again, this incentive is neither fair, nor equitable and fails to address the core issues of hiring, training, and retaining a sustainable workforce in this competitive labor market.
Your General Chairs have continued to meet weekly with labor and monthly with Company Leaders to bring forward your concerns. We are consistently met with resistance to our suggestions and are merely offered these BAND-AID fixes in response.
We are disappointed that Alaska Airlines continues to not apply a fair and equitable solution for our entire membership. Your personal sacrifices and challenges have not gone unnoticed by our passengers and your Union Leadership. Please know we will continue with our ongoing fight of equality for all.
