About Guide Dogs of America and Tender Loving Canines
Located on a beautiful 7.5-acre campus in Los Angeles, Guide Dogs of America serves a diverse range of individuals from the U.S. and Canada. Guide Dogs of America, transforms lives through partnerships with service dogs for individuals who are blind/visually impaired and service dogs for veterans and children with autism.
Guide Dogs of America also places facility dogs in hospitals, schools, and courtrooms. These highly skilled canines become trusted companions that increase people’s confidence, mobility, and independence. All programs and services, including transportation, personalized training, room/board, and postgraduate support, are provided at no cost to the recipient.
What We Do
Our committee members work hand in hand with Guide Dogs of America leadership to promote and support the organization in any way possible.
We work with our local lodges to identify members of our district and those in our local communities who are in need of a Guide Dog and then work with them and support them through the process of obtaining a guide dog and the training necessary to successfully navigate everyday life with their new, most trusted companion!
