The parties met for Negotiations on January 19, 20, and 21, 2016 at the Comfort Suites in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Present for the Company were Bob Frisch, VP Flight Operation and Labor; Gary Pratt, VP Maintenance and Engineering; Tina Vos, Managing Director Human Resources; Mike McHargue, Director of Maintenance and Ashley Krueger, Employee Relations Manager. Present for the Union were Jerry Lemke, General Chair, and the Negotiating Committee Members, Gary Vargo, Seneca Harris, Jason Saledas and Allan James Ross.
Several proposals were exchanged between the parties, including Articles 3, 5, 16, 31, 34 and a new Article on Uniforms and Appearance. Discussions centered on full explanations behind each proposal.
The Company refused to negotiate on any item with a grievance currently at the level of System Board of Appeal. I’m encouraging the Membership to share their concerns with the Air Wisconsin Management Team that this unacceptable.
Negotiations will resume on February 23, 24 and 25 Columbia, South Carolina. Future negotiation meetings are planned on March 14, 15, and 16 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, also May 24, 25 and 26, 2016 in Norfolk, Virginia.
