IAM AND TWU MEMBERS AT AMERICAN AIRLINES M&R, MLS, MTS, AND MCT OVERWHELMINGLY VOTE YES FOR CONTRACT EXTENSION

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

IAM and TWU members at American Airlines have overwhelmingly voted YES for a new contract extension that includes significant wage increases. M&R, MTS, and MCT members voted 93.35% Yes, with MLS members voting at 89.27% Yes.

These members work at line maintenance and base maintenance stations across American Airlines’ system and include Aircraft Maintenance Technicians, Inspectors, Planners, Aircraft Cleaners, Material Logistic Specialists, Maintenance Training Specialists, and Maintenance Control Technicians.

“We would like to sincerely thank our members at American for your support, strength, and solidarity leading up to this vote,” said IAM District 142 President/Directing General Chair John M. Coveny, Jr. “We are proud that you have ratified this contract extension. You have earned this through your continuous hard work, professionalism, and dedication to your craft.”

District 142 leadership will work closely with American Airlines leadership to ensure that all new wage scales are implemented correctly and promptly. We ask for your patience and support as we work through this process.
