RE: American Airlines Tech Ops Meeting
On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, the leadership of the TWU-IAM Association held a meeting with the senior leadership of American Airlines Tech Ops. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the accomplishments of 2024 and outline the Association’s expectations for the upcoming year, 2025.
Representing the company, Kevin Brickner, SVP of Tech Ops, and his team provided an overview of the upcoming improvements and advancements slated for implementation in 2025. Attendees included Evie Garcia, VP of Line Maintenance; Mark Miner, VP of Technical Services; Greg Emerson, VP of Base Maintenance; Stacy Morrissey, VP of Engineering and Quality; and Mark Nelson, Director of Labor Relations.
The Association, represented by IAM District 142 President Directing General Chair John Coveny and TWU International Representative Rollie Reaves, engaged in an open dialogue regarding the Association’s concerns, emphasizing the need for senior leadership to understand our expectations for effectively representing our members.
The Association received a commitment from AA Director of Labor Relations Mark Nelson that, starting in January, he and his team will collaborate with Association leadership to enhance the grievance procedure and work towards resolving some of the ongoing issues that result in numerous grievances.
