IAM AWARE OF AIR WISCONSIN WARN ACT NOTIFICATIONS

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

IAM District 142 has continued to communicate regularly with Air Wisconsin leadership since the company announced on January 10, 2025, that it intends to terminate its capacity purchase agreement with American Airlines effective April 3, 2025.

The company has informed the union that it is complying with federal law by sending Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act notifications to both management and represented employees who may be affected by a reduction of force. Federal law requires that these notices be given at least 60 days before the issuance of any possible furloughs.

As of right now, we have not been informed of any impending furloughs of our represented members. We would like to make it abundantly clear that your Union will continue to communicate with the Company during this process and ensure that your Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) is adhered to in every way.

The next round of negotiations between the Union and the Company is still scheduled for the first week of March in Chicago. Unless the company notifies us otherwise, they are on track to proceed.

This is a developing situation. As it unfolds, we will continue to communicate with the Company and pass on any new developments to our membership. We appreciate your patience, support, and solidarity.

Please do not hesitate to contact your Shop Stewards or General Chairs with questions or concerns.

Sincerely and fraternally,
