AIR WISCONSIN FURLOUGHS ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

Air Wisconsin has informed the IAM of its intention to pause the launch of its own branded, scheduled air service due to the current economic conditions and uncertainty about the future stemming from the tariffs imposed by the President of the United States and his administration.

In making this announcement, the company indicated the need for “significant furloughs.” Like you, we are shocked and deeply saddened by this news.

In a separate communication to the IAM, Air Wisconsin informed us that they are issuing an extension of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act letter dated January 31, 2025. That letter set the expected dates for any layoffs to occur between March 31 and April 14, 2025. The extension now makes those dates effective from May 21 to June 5, 2025.

The IAM’s sole responsibility is to you, the members we represent at Air Wisconsin. Our intention is to hold the Company accountable for complying with the COPS and MRP Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) as they relate to Article 18 – Furloughed Employees in the COPS book, Article 14 – Furlough/Layoff, Station Realignment, Reduction, Closing in the MRP book, and all other articles and sections of these CBAs.

Please know that we constantly communicate with the Company and will update you as new developments arise. Your District 142 General Chairs are available if you have specific questions or concerns about the processes and language in the abovementioned CBA articles—contact Justin Bates at or John Bidoglio at . District 142’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is also available to any member struggling with this announcement and needing assistance. You can find more information about the EAP Committee at www.atd142.org/eap, and you can reach out to EAP Director Paul Shultz 24 hours a day at (704) 907-3563 or .

Sincerely and fraternally,
