Negotiations with the Company began this week in Phoenix. Representing the Company was Blake Martin, Director of Labor Relations; Michael McClure, Vice President of Operations; and Otis Williams, Station Manager. Representing the membership was Randy Griffith, General Chair IAM; John Werkmeister, Grand Lodge Special Representative; Robert Helmer, Fueler-Mesa; Steven Van Note, Fueler-Mesa; Joseph Morones, Fueler-American and Bronson McGee, Fueler-Southwest.
Your Committee presented proposals and had table discussion on the following subjects: Recognition, Savings Clause, Union Security, No Strike No Lockout, Non-Discrimination, Notifications of Personnel Actions, Seniority, Layoff & Recall, Scope of the Agreement, Hourly job Descriptions, Filling of Vacancies & Shift Bids, Leaves of Absence, General & Miscellaneous, Safety & Health, Uniforms & Equipment, Hours of Service, Holidays, Vacations, and Part Time Work. The Committee notified the Company that we intend to also present proposals on Wages, Healthcare, and Retirement. No proposals or counter proposals were received by your Committee from the Company during this set of negotiations.

Face-to-face negotiations are scheduled to resume the week of July 18-22, 2016. The Company has committed to sending their opening proposals and counters electronically before the next session.
