Your IAM joint contract negotiations committee met from Monday, September 19, 2016 and continued through Thursday, September 22, 2016 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Your Committee exchanged proposals with the Company on the following Sections:
Section 14 Moving Expenses – Your committee has made great strides in this Section and we are down to a few issues that need to be resolved in order to reach a tentative agreement.
Section 26 Benefits – Presently we are focusing on the insurance portion of this Section. Your committee has had several discussions with the Company and is currently exploring various options in order to maximize benefits received under this Section.
As of this session, the following sections of the JCBA are open:
Section 3, Compensation
Section 4, Scheduling
Section 6, Training
Section 8, Vacation
Section 10, OJI
Section 11, Leaves of Absence
Section 14, Moving Expenses
Section 26, Benefits
Section 27, Duration
Section 30, System Seniority List
We understand your frustration regarding the pace of reaching a tentative agreement for a JCBA, however, it is important now more than ever, we stay the course and remain united in solidarity. Your Committee is pleased with the advancements made toward a JCBA during the last sessions and will continue to work hard on your behalf.
The mediator has scheduled the next negotiations session October 31 through November 4, 2016 in Kansas City, Missouri.
