Hurricane Matthew Preparation

Sisters and Brothers,

Please keep track of schedule updates while we are anticipating Hurricane Matthew hitting and making its way up the east coast.  Florida is bracing for impact and will make landfall across South Florida Thursday.  For those of you in Florida on an overnight, or there as a resident, please invoke contractual rights if needed.  Remember your duty day shall not be extended past 15.5 (ERJ), or 16 hours (CRJ) hours due to irregularities.

For residents, severe weather allows you to invoke your commuter clause.  For those currently in Hurricane Matthew’s path, please read on below.

If you have any questions please contact.

For Flight Attendants that currently live in Hurricane Matthew’s path, below are links for information as to evacuation and preparation for South Florida, Central Florida  and South Carolina.

First and foremost, please follow evacuation orders as they are made by your local government. Follow all preparation instructions that are being given.  Your safety and well being is a top priority.  If you live on the coast or in a flood zone, evacuate and make sure to take important documents with you.  Stay in contact with your supervisor and Crew Scheduling if you are unable to make a trip due to this storm.  More information will be coming out and will be distributed as needed.
