The parties met for negotiations on September 27, 28, and 29, 2017 at the Spring Hill Suites in Chicago, IL. Present for the Company were Bob Frisch, COO, Jeff Bethune, VP, Tina Vos, Managing Director Human Resources and Randall Moulton, Regional Maintenance Base Manager. Present for the Union were General Chair, Jerry Lemke, Negotiation Committee Members Allan James Ross, Jason Saledas, Seneca Harris and Gary Vargo.
September 28, 2017, the Union passed a counter comprehensive proposal that included the following Articles 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 33, 36, TBD 1 Uniforms, Growth LOA, Retention Pay LOA, LOA on future stations and LOA on New Hires.
Several passes where completed, The following Articles are still open Article 24, 28, 36 and several LOA’s.
After the session closed for the day the District Lodge and the IAMAW Headquarters were given a briefing of the day’s events.
At this point we have accomplished Tentative Agreements on Articles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 and a new Article 36 uniforms (Article 37 will be Effectivity).
The next scheduled negotiations are November 14, 15 and 16, 2017 ORD. We are working on other dates at this time.
