Sisters & Brothers:
Your IAM negotiations committee, Lisa Ferm and Mark Diefenbach along with IAM General Chair Sara Gonzales, met with the Company to continue negotiations October, 15-17, 2019 in Cleveland, Ohio.
We were able to reach tentative agreements on the following sections this week:
Section 6 – Training
Section 14 – Uniforms
We have also previously reached tentative agreements on these sections:
Section 1 – Recognition & Scope
Section 3 – General
Section 5 – Scheduling
Section 15 – Seniority
Section 16 – Investigations
Section 19 – Benefits
The only remaining open sections are:
Section 4 – Compensation
Section 7 – Expenses
Section 8 – Vacation
Section 9 – Sick Leave
In addition, to reaching tentative agreements on Training and Uniforms we also made several proposals back and forth on Compensation, Expenses, Vacation and Sick Leave. We discussed the fact that CommutAir flight attendants wages lag well behind the industry standard and there is much room for improvements throughout the Compensation section. We are waiting on responses from the Company on Compensation, Vacation, Sick Leave, and Expenses. All of those outstanding Sections have financial ties and the Company will be working on the financial components in order to respond to our proposals.
