AER LINGUS Ratification Vote Cancellation

Unfortunately at approximately 2:45 pm on Friday, April 17, 2015 I was advised by Ken Karchinski that the Aer Lingus Board in Dublin has not approved the Tentative Agreement.

Mr. Karchinski did apologize on behalf of Jack Foley and the management when sharing this news.

It is extremely disappointing and unprofessional that Aer Lingus has allowed over three weeks to pass since we reached this Tentative Agreement, on March 25, 2015, before bringing to our attention there was an issue. We were originally told the Aer Lingus Vice President Jack Foley was travelling to Dublin at the end of that work week, Friday, March 27th, to advise his superiors.

Aer Lingus was advised by me at the beginning of the following week that the Tentative Agreement had been approved by the Grand Lodge and that we were proceeding with the ratification vote.

At no time during the ensuing three weeks did Aer Lingus ever state or imply that there were any issues or that the Tentative Agreement had not already been approved. We continued to move forward with our ratification vote without ever being told there was a potential problem.

The ratification vote scheduled for Monday, April 20, 2015 has been cancelled. All members will be kept advised of any and all future developments.

Sincerely and fraternally yours

Michael Manzo
