On Thursday, May 24, 2018 we held a ratification vote for the tentative agreement reached by the negotiating committee. The committee supported this TA and gave the membership their unanimous recommendation of a YES vote for the TA. Unfortunately, the contract was not accepted, nor was it rejected – the vote ended in a TIE! In different circumstances, ties are resolved in various ways – a flip of a coin, a draw of a card, etc. But in something as important as your contract, the way to resolve the tie is by re-voting.
We will re-vote on Thursday, May 31 from 6am – 3pm at the Allied Aviation Tank Farm Break room. Representatives from the District and the International will be in the breakroom on Wednesday, May 30 to answer any questions regarding the TA. As mentioned in our past bulletins, your negotiating committee unanimously recommends a YES vote on this TA.
