IAM/PSA AIRLINES NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE

The parties met again this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Dayton, Ohio to continue negotiations for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.   The Union negotiating committee was present and again joined by Grand Lodge Representative John Werkmeister.  Present for the Company was Karl Hanisch, DOM and Anthony Bralich, outside counsel from FH Solutions. IAM FILES FOR “SINGLE CARRIER STATUS” AT ALASKA AIRLINES

The IAM today announced it filed for a determination of single carrier status at Alaska Airlines with the National Mediation Board (NMB). The filing requests that the federal agency affirm that post-merger Alaska Airlines and Virgin America are now functioning as a single transportation system for representation purposes for Clerical, Office, Fleet and Passenger Service
