There was an unfortunate incident yesterday on United Express flight 4965 involving an unruly passenger and a IAM-represented CommutAir Flight Attendant. The flight attendant showed the utmost professionalism, attention to safety and security and meticulously followed all protocols. Flight attendants are aviation’s first responders and the professionalism shown by this flight attendant was nothing short of exemplary. This incident is an example of the issues flight attendants deal with on a daily basis. IAM representatives have been in constant contact with the flight attendant to ensure she has all the necessary support during this traumatic time. The IAM will also continue to assist the flight attendant with cooperating with the company and authorities.
