Commuting can be one of the most difficult things about our job. The stress of having to depend on unpredictable boarding totals and worrying about receiving occurrences can be very stressful. The commuter clause that was negotiated in the last TA was not only the best in the regional industry but the best of all the major airlines as well. Here are some of the reasons that make it the best.
- Ability to use ANY airline to commute
- Only minimum requirement for flights is to arrive prior to your show time. Not 1 hour prior.
- Flexibility in proof required in order qualify for Commuter Clause
- Ability to use the Commuter Clause 16 times in one year
- Ground Commuter Clause, which included driving or taking public transportation to work.
All of these benefits would have given us more peace of mind, less time at the airport and would have contributed to our overall quality of life. We want to ensure you understand all the benefits that we negotiated on your behalf and are fighting to maintain in the next round of negotiations.
