I hope this bulletin is finding everyone well, and practicing methods to keep yourselves healthy.
You may notice your long overnights are being relocated to short overnight locations, due to hotel closures. We are working with the company on a case by case basis, to ensure your contractual rights are kept, while keeping you safe at the same time.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some relocations are agreed upon by your hotel committee, but some are not. Please contact your committee, at the email address below, if you are in a hotel that is not contracted or compliant. If you are relocated to a hotel that you feel unsafe at, or feel your contract has been violated, please let us know. This will help us keep track of moves that we may not be aware of. Please continue utilize this email for complaints and compliments at current locations, as well.
Your health and safety is our priority first, and your contract second, but both are important. Again, these are being judged on a case by case basis.
As essential workers, we are providing a service that is helpful to those in need, whether we see it or not. Thank you for all you do, and continuing to be an essential part of this industry, and the IAM family.
We will get through this together.
