Sisters and Brothers:
As you know the Company sent out a memo title “Permanent Vacancies” that indicated many people would be displaced to EWR. This was a displacement announcement and the Union has addressed the fact that the ERJ members do not have a permanent vacancy bid and this should not have been titled as such.
Those on the list attached to the email do need to list their base preferences in the standing bid but if your name is not on the list you do not need to do anything. If you are on the list please make sure to list the base you’re being displaced from first if that’s where you wish to be based because that will ensure you will have rights to return to that base prior to any transfers being awarded.
