Sisters and Brothers:
We have been hearing from members that several airports are experiencing very long lines due to a wave of TSA sick calls because they aren’t being paid due the government shutdown. For the airports with KCM hopefully this won’t be an issue but I’m sure they would eventually close KCM check points as well if they can’t staff them (for the ones that do require additional staffing). I’ve reached out to the Company to see what their plan is in order to get the crews to the planes in a timely manner and keep the operation running smoothly, in addition to not having anyone’s attendance negatively impacted. We are still waiting for a response from the Company but have followed up with them for a response.
