Negotiations
We were waiting on the outcome of the pilot’s tentative agreement to meet with the Company again on
negotiations, due to the vast impact it could have on the future of the Company. Now that it has been ratified
we are in the process of setting up future dates for negotiations.
ERJ General Grievances 40 and 41
A mutually satisfactory resolution of the matter on General Grievance 40 was not reached within 15
workdays after the grievance was submitted, so in accordance with the CBA we referred the matter to
COO Terry Vais. PDGC Dave Supplee and GC Sara Gonzales heard the grievance last Friday and we are
now awaiting a response on the matter.
We are confirming a hearing date on General Grievance 41, which was filed on the same issue as General
Grievance 40, but specifically in regards to the recent pilot’s TA passing.
New Additions to Grievance Committee
We would like to welcome Sandra Robinson to the IAH Grievance Committee. Sandra is in her 14th year as an
XJT Flight Attendant. Sabrina Mitchell who is in her 17th year as a Flight Attendant for ASA/XJT will be
representing CRJ Flight Attendants in ORD. Sabrina comes to ORD with years of experience as a grievance
representative in ATL. Both Sabrina and Sandra are very excited about their new positions and we are thrilled
to have them and know they will be great assets to the team.
Sabrina (ORD CRJ) can be contacted at 214-587-9370 or
Sandra (IAH) can be contacted at 773-655-4228 or
ERJ Step 2 Grievances
All pending ERJ Step 2 grievances are scheduled to be heard in IAH on October 22nd. This includes the
Et Al grievance filed regarding the SMS CBT training pay filed on behalf of anyone who completed that
training module which was placed into eCampus by the Company in error.
UAL Jumpseat
We feel the delay in implementing the electronic access to UAL jumpseats for XJT Flight Attendants is
absolutely ridiculous. In addition, we have suggested the use of paper forms to allow access many times
to no avail. We are continuing to contact United to get this process completed. United maintains that it’s
an IT issue. We are also considering other ways to add additional pressure on United to gain access to
jumpseats as soon as possible.
Locking Liquor Cart in Canada
Please make sure to lock the liquor cart prior to landing in Canada. If you have previously been found to not
to have had a seal on your liquor upon arrival into Canada please email as it may
assist with a pending grievance.
Stepping Off the Aircraft w/Passengers Onboard
Please ensure you do not leave the aircraft while passengers are onboard. This is a FAR violation and has
resulted in terminations in the past. If for an emergency reason you had to step off the aircraft with passengers
on board please fill out an ASAP report.
Mobile Check-In
Please keep in mind that you should be inside security at the airport where your trip originates before you
check in on your mobile device. There are many ways to track where you are once you enter the airport
including swiping in at the parking lot, swiping in at KCM and cameras within the airport and crew rooms.
This has lead to terminations for those checking in prior to being through security at the airport, so please keep
that in mind along with your 5-minute grace period, when checking in on your mobile device.
In solidarity,
Sara Gonzales Marche’ Johnson-Cooper
