District Lodge 142 has received an inordinate number of reports of IAM Members who have not yet received their absentee ballot even though they requested their ballot, in some cases, up to a month ago. This is concerning given the fact that absentee ballots must be postmarked by April 22, 2021 and received by the IAM GST’s Office by April 29, 2021 to be counted.
If you have requested your absentee ballot more than 10 days ago from the date of this posting and still have not received it, please call the IAM GST’s Office at (301) 967-4701 and demand that your ballot be sent to you immediately. The IAM GST’s Office has assumed all control of the absentee ballot request and voting process in this Grand Lodge election, therefore it is their responsibility to ensure that IAM Members can vote in this election and are not disenfranchised.
If you have requested your absentee ballot more than 10 days from the date of this posting and have not received it, also please email us at so we have a record that you have not received your absentee ballot when you requested it far in advance of the absentee request deadline of April 12, 2021.
