IAM/ATLANTIC AVIATION CALL FOR CONTRACT PROPOSALS

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

IAM District 142 recently surveyed the membership at Atlantic Aviation ASE in preparation for contract negotiations. As we prepare for the task ahead, the next step in the process is the official Call for Contract Proposals.

Submitting contract proposals is one way you, the IAM members at Atlantic Aviation ASE, can get directly involved in the negotiation of your contract. By telling the union exactly what you want or don’t want in your contract, you will be enabling them to negotiate effectively. This also empowers you by giving you a voice at the negotiating table.

The first step in submitting contract proposals is understanding what a collective bargaining agreement looks like, the way the language reads, and the kind of things you may want to negotiate for you and your fellow members, for example: wage rates, premiums, work scope, benefits, safety and health, work rules, and more. On the District 142 website, contracts for Atlantic Aviation stations in PHL and TEB can be found. Studying these contracts will help give you a good baseline for what to negotiate for your agreement.

The IAM/Atlantic Aviation ASE Contract Proposal Form is online and can be accessed by the QR Code or link below.

If you wish to submit multiple proposals, please fill out a separate form for each proposal. The deadline is June 24, 2024. Once submitted, these proposals will be collected and reviewed by the union and will help direct the direction of negotiations.

Once a schedule for negotiations is agreed upon by the union and the company, we will announce the dates and update you on the progress. Our goal is always to bring you a Tentative Agreement that you will be proud to vote YES for.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with your General Chair, Bill Wise, at , with any questions or concerns. Your support is needed as we prepare for negotiations, and we thank you for your continued solidarity.

Sincerely and fraternally,

John M. Coveny, Jr.
