The Tentative Agreement document released yesterday has had some corrections made to it that need to be shared. The most up to date and correct version will always be available on the District Lodge 142 website at www.iamdl142.org. Here is a summary of the corrections made thus far that are different from the original release:
- In Appendix A, the term “Cargo Sales Assistant” was unintentionally omitted from paragraph 3 and has been added back in.
- In Appendix A there was confusion over the wage scale as it related to those with a redlined/frozen off scale wage rate. Even though it is identical to the last column in the related scale in the 2014 CBA, the language change has created the confusion. We have added the following sentence to clarify that no one is taking a pay cut, “Any Employee with a previously redlined/frozen pay rate not shown on a wage scale listed below in Appendix A will not have their pay decreased as the result of implementation of this CBA. “
- In the voluntary severance LOA beginning on page 73, the correct severance table has been added back in after it was lost during a formatting change.
A number of people have already called with questions and concerns about different pieces of language. Everyone must remember that just because you see language struck in one section, it doesn’t mean it has been removed from the agreement. Paid parking is the most asked about question today. It is still there, just moved into the body of CBA in Article XVI, “General and Miscellaneous”.
Please take the time to read the entire document before you formulate any opinions or questions.
