Meetings continued this week in ORD under the auspices of the NMB and Mediator Gerry McGuckin. The Company committees were again represented by Brian Pinchbeck and your Union committee was present with the additions of Grand Lodge Reps Mike Manzo and John Werkmeister.
Progress was again made in identifying ways to generate savings for the Company that do not involve any participation on your behalf. The discussions were productive, and we keep moving forward in these negotiations. We are expecting the Engineering management committee to be back at the table in July and hopefully prepared to address the remaining open items there.
Additional progress was again made on the complex issues involving a buyout program. I am hopeful that we will have relevant information to release after one of the future scheduled meetings for everyone who is interested in participating.
Confirmed future dates include the weeks of July 15 (NYC), August 5 & 19 (NYC) and September 16 (NYC). The location of any mediated negotiations remains at the Mediators discretion.
