As we continue to persevere through the pandemic and the greater effects on international travel, there are encouraging signs that are beginning to shine a light on the dark time that has existed for many months now. The vaccine programs here in the US and in the UK should begin to bolster the abilities of British Airways to begin to return to normal. The
biggest question that still remains to be answered is “What will normal look like?”.
This week the Company released a communication about upcoming opportunities that will become available. These opportunities are especially important for those still working to be aware of, and even more important for those still in a layoff situation. I highly encourage
everyone to examine those opportunities to see if there may be a path back to active employment via a route other than waiting for your station to staff back up. In discussions with Julian Welham late last week, he was keen about this positive development and wanted to make sure that everyone was aware of it. If you haven’t yet checked your comms
source (email or board posting), please take the time to do so.
I certainly am looking forward to everyone returning to work and seeing you in the near future. If you have any additional questions or issues concerning this, please reach out to me with any questions. I can be reached at or (859) 653-4037.
Sincerely and fraternally,
James M. Samuel
