Last week the IAM was informed by CommuteAir that they intend to close the DEN base in June 2024.
While transitions of this nature can be difficult, the Union has been in communication with the Company, and they have clarified that their intent is not to reduce the number of Flight Attendants system-wide but to transition the work to the IAH and IAD bases.
Your contract provides specific protections and Article 12 outlines how this process will take place. It also provides moving expenses for those who choose to relocate due to involuntarily displacement as defined in Article 7.
Please be assured that your Union is fully committed to working with you through this process. The company has been transparent in its intentions thus far and we will continue to work with them to make this transition as painless as possible for our members.
