IAM District 142 Appoints Jose Rosales as Vice President McGee Air Services

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

IAM District 142 is pleased to announce that Jose Rosales has been appointed to serve as Vice President – McGee Air Services.

Brother Rosales joined the IAM in 2019 and has been with McGee Air Services for eight years. Throughout his time with the company, he has been a dedicated advocate for his coworkers and an active leader within the union. Jose currently serves as the Bay Area Chief Shop Steward in SJC, a role he has held for the past four years, and will continue in that capacity alongside his new appointment.

Jose’s union experience demonstrates his long-standing dedication to improving the working lives of his fellow members. He served on the negotiation committee for McGee’s first collective bargaining agreement, has been a shop steward for six years, and is a member of the grievance committee. Additionally, he serves as Auditor for Local Lodge 1781. Jose has also completed Negotiations Prep and Leadership I training at the IAM’s William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center.

Born and raised in Salinas, California, Jose now resides in San Jose. He is the proud father of a 15-year-old son and enjoys playing keyboards and percussion in a Spanish rock band during his free time.

Please join us in congratulating Jose Rosales on his appointment as Vice President – McGee Air Services, and thank him for his continued commitment to the membership of District 142.

Sincerely and fraternally,

John M. Coveny, Jr.
President/Directing General Chair
