Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Your IAM District 142 General Chairs for Southwest Airlines held meetings with company leadership including Labor Managers, Directors, Legal Department, and Vice Presidents of CS&S and Ground Ops, May 23 – 25, 2023 in Dallas. In attendance representing DL 142 were General Chairs Bill Wise, Dave Figueira, Kenny Champagne, April Butler, Carrie Lessley, Oralia “Lollie” Beecher, and Lorraine Fraser.
Our meetings were both informative and productive. We discussed the administration of the new contract and took the opportunity to address the concerns of our membership.
Both District 142 and the company have committed to continue to work together to ensure a harmonious working environment. The Southwest Departmental Vice Presidents were open to meeting more frequently and your union is committed to doing the same.
