IAM DISTRICT 142 REACHES TENTATIVE AGREEMENT WITH COMMUTEAIR

Dear Sisters, Brothers, and Siblings:

Your IAM Negotiating Team is proud to announce that we have reached a Tentative Agreement for the CommuteAir Flight Attendants.

This Tentative Agreement brings significant improvements to the contract. Some of the highlights include:

• Across the board pay raises, 20% on date of implementation.
• Additional downline raises totaling 5% over the next 4 years. (4 year agreement)
• Two Commuter rooms per month for registered commuter flight attendants.
• Three additional Holidays – Memorial Day, Labor Day and Christmas Eve.
• Increased per diem pay to $2.00 per hour with built-in increases to $2.25 per hour over the life of the agreement.
• International per diem to $20.00 per day
• Increased minimum duty period guarantee to 3.75 hours
• Full pay for Deadheads
• Improvements to rest language including guaranteed 8 hours behind the door • Improvements to Line/Trip trade language.
• Added Long Call Reserve Language.
• Additional week of vacation (5 total) starting at year 16 of seniority.
• Increased sick leave accrual.
• 25% sick leave cash out upon retirement.
• Parental leave language added (12 weeks for birth or adoption).
• Expanded covered family members for bereavement leave.
• Improvements to the uniform allotment.
• Solidified improvements to the 401k program that the company implemented between agreements.
• General improvements to the Drug and Alcohol testing language.

There will be Q&A sessions to answer your questions about this Tentative Agreement as follows:

  1. Tuesday, May 14, and Wednesday, May 15, IAH Crew room, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  2. Monday, May 20, DEN crew room, 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  3. Tuesday, May 21, DEN crew room, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  4. Tuesday, May 21, and Wednesday, May 22, IAD Crew room, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  5. Tuesday, May 28, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Eastern via Zoom.
  6. Wednesday, May 29, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Eastern via Zoom.
  7. Thursday, May 30, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. via Zoom.
