Mark your calendars and don’t forget to bid to be off for March 16th! We are continuing our #IAMfor10 fight for 10 hours rest and a FAA mandated Fatigue Risk Management Program for Flight Attendants. We will be having a rally and lobbying event in Washington, DC and this is your chance to make your voice heard!
Every three to five years Congress is required to authorize funding and set policies for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The IAM is calling on Congress to include 10 hours rest and a FAA mandated Fatigue Risk Management Program for Flight Attendants.
FAR 117 targeted pilots’ rest issues in the last FAA Reauthorization Bill and it’s time for Congress to recognize Flight Attendants as safety professionals and make sure they have adequate rest as well.
