Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Members have the right to union representation when they are called to a meeting with management and discipline is being contemplated. If a member believes a discussion could lead to disciplinary action, they should immediately request union representation before the meeting proceeds. If, after making this request, you are denied representation, please contact your Chief Steward or General Chair immediately.
If you are offered a waiver of union representation, please know that signing it is your choice. Before making that decision, consider the benefits of having a union representative present. Representation is a valuable contractual right that provides support and helps ensure members are fully informed during meetings where discipline may be contemplated.
For McGee employees, the language guaranteeing this right appears in Sections 7 and 8 of your Collective Bargaining Agreement. Please take time to read and understand these provisions.
If you believe that you or another member has been denied union representation, or if you have any questions about this contractual language, please contact a Shop Steward or a General Chair. Thank you for your continued support and solidarity.
Sincerely and fraternally,
| John M. Coveny, Jr. President/Directing General Chair | Jason McAdoo General Chair | Justin Bates General Chair |
