Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Negotiations resumed this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We were originally scheduled to meet in CLT (Charlotte), however due to issues beyond the control of either party, we were forced to move the meetings to virtual. Your entire negotiating committee was present as was the Company’s.
During this week, the main topics of conversation were Articles 15 (Grievance and Arbitration Procedure) and 24 (General and Miscellaneous). After hours of good dialogue across the table concerning both articles and multiple passes, tentative agreements were reached covering both articles in their entirety. Articles that have been completely TA’ed thus far are 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 22, 23, 24, 26 & 27. The next meeting is set to occur on June 14, 15 & 16 in CLT. At that meeting your committee will be presenting a comprehensive economic proposal covering Articles 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 18, 19, 21, 25 & 28. This represents the balance of Articles that were driven by the memberships proposals.
As always, the sharing of information with you continues to be a priority for your negotiating committee and will continue by bulletins like this. Our goal remains to make sure you have the most up to date information concerning negotiations.
