Negotiations resumed this week between the IAM and PSA Airlines. Present for the Company was Matthew J. Kernan, Director of Flight Operations, Karl Hanisch, Director of Maintenance and as a new addition to the Company Committee, Anthony Bralich from F&H Solutions. Present for the Union was James M. Samuel, General Chairperson, Todd Roan, Ian Cole and Greg Farmer, Negotiating Committee Members.
In preparation for this week, your Committee met in the District Lodge 142 offices in MCI last week to prepare as many proposals as possible for presentation to the Company this week.
Articles opened with proposals exchanged this week include 1-Recognition and Scope, 2-Classification of Work, 3-Hours of Service, 4-Wage Rules, 5-Overtime and 6-Field Service. A significant amount of work was accomplished in Articles 5 and 6 and Tentative Agreements were reached on Articles 1, 2 and 4. To date, this brings the total amount of Articles Tentatively agreed to up to eight.
The next meetings for these negotiations will occur during the week of May 23. While there remains significant work yet to be accomplished, your Committee is dedicated to bringing these negotiations to a successful conclusion with the Agreement you deserve, and in the least amount of time possible.
