Dear Sisters and Brothers:
This week, your IAM Negotiating Committee met with Qantas management in LAX for the next round of contract negotiations. During this session, the Committee continued discussing several key areas, including Article 21 – Travel on Duty / Training / Field Service / Remote Location Support (RLS), as well as broader topics related to benefits and other financial aspects of the agreement.
While these discussions were productive and clarified positions on both sides, no Tentative Agreements were reached during this round.
These topics remain crucial to the strength of our contract, ensuring a better future and job security. Article 21 is key in defining important working conditions that affect everyone’s quality of life. Your Committee is actively working to make sure these areas reflect your input and highlight the value and professionalism of our membership.
Our next round of negotiations is scheduled for April 20 at the District 142 office in PHX. We will return to the table prepared, focused, and determined to continue moving the process forward.
We will keep you informed as progress develops.
Sincerely and fraternally,
| John M. Coveny, Jr. President/Directing General Chair | James M. Samuel General Chair | Boris Kochanoff General Chair |
