The parties met for Negotiations on May 24 and 25, 2016 at the Double Tree Norfolk, Virginia. Present for the Company were Bob Frisch, Senior Vice President & COO; Gary Pratt, Vice President Maintenance and Engineering; Tina Vos, Managing Director Human Resources; Mike McHargue, Director of Maintenance; and Ashley Krueger, Employee Relations Manager. Present for the Union were Jerry Lemke, General Chair, and the Negotiating Committee Members, Gary Vargo, Jason Saledas and Allan James Ross. May 26 was cancelled due to travel issues.
Several proposals were exchanged between the parties, including Articles 3, 4, 5 and 20. Discussions centered on full explanations behind each proposal. Dialogue between the parties was again positive and constructive.
Negotiations will resume on June 28, 29 and 30 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Future negotiation meetings are planned on August 3, 4, and 5 in Charlotte, North Carolina and September 13, 14 and 15 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
