To All Southwest Airline Members of District 142:
District 142 Leadership/General Chairs want to remind our members that all IAM represented members at Southwest Airlines have the right to have Union Representation anytime you have a meeting with leadership that may lead to discipline specifically;
Article 20 C states:
An employee who completes his probationary period will have the right to have Union representation present, before the employee may be issued discipline at a warning letter, final warning letter, or Performance Improvement Plan level.
There may be times when you are NOT asked if you want Union representation, but you have the RIGHT to request one.
If you are denied Union representation, please contact your local shop steward.
Sincerely and fraternally,
John M. Coveny, Jr.
