Dear Sisters and Brothers:
IAM District 142 is proud to announce that we have reached a Tentative Agreement (TA) for our members at Menzies Aviation IAH.
Highlights of the TA include:
- Wage increase of $2.00 on Date Of Ratification (DOR) and $1.50 each year after, including 2029.
- Three-year contract term (2026-2029).
- Designated Trainers to be paid a $1.00 per hour premium while conducting training.
- Christmas Eve added as a holiday.
- Added a personal day for most and reduced the years to accrue additional personal days.
- Added vacation days and decreased the time needed to accrue vacation in the first 4 years.
- New language for increased flexibility in the use of vacation.
- Ability to get more than 1 pair of boots if replacement is necessary on a case-by-case basis.
- Added Union Employee Assistance Program (EAP) language.
- Added new language to reduce the amount of time discipline letters stay in an employee’s file.
A follow-up bulletin will be released soon, which will include the redline Tentative Agreement and the dates and process for the TA vote. In addition, once we have posted the redline TA, we will schedule a Teams videoconference for all members to attend in order to ask questions and gain greater clarity on the language in the TA.
